We support students within MTSS Tier 2 and Tier 3 who require targeted or intensive intervention beyond what is typically available in the classroom. These are learners who may struggle with organization, task initiation, time management, or self-regulation, and need more individualized, consistent support to make meaningful progress. NeuroRoots complements school-based services by providing structured executive function coaching and skill-building that helps students access the curriculum, increase independence, and experience greater success across academic and daily environments.
We support students who do and do not qualify for an IEP or 504 Plan but still experience meaningful challenges with executive functioning, academic performance, or independence. These learners often fall into the “gray area” where needs are evident, but not formally addressed through specialized services.
NeuroRoots provides targeted, individualized support to bridge that gap, helping students build the skills they need to stay organized, manage responsibilities, and succeed both in and out of the classroom.
NeuroRoots uses a proactive, strengths-based approach to behavior grounded in positive behavior supports. We focus on understanding the “why” behind behavior and teaching students the executive function, self-regulation, and coping skills needed to navigate challenges successfully.
Our approach emphasizes prevention, skill-building, and consistency across environments.
Through individualized coaching, we help students develop practical strategies for managing emotions, increasing flexibility, improving task persistence, and responding more effectively to academic and social demands. When appropriate, we align with existing behavior plans and collaborate with school teams to reinforce supports that promote lasting, meaningful change.
Recommending a student to NeuroRoots is simple and collaborative. School teams can simply send our link to families who then can submit a free initial consultation. This gives us the opportunity to better understand the student’s strengths, challenges, and current supports.
From there, we develop an individualized plan focused on executive functioning, transition goals, and/or targeted skill development. With parent consent, we can collaborate with school teams to ensure alignment with existing supports and promote consistency across environments.
Our services are flexible, virtual, and designed to complement, not replace, school-based interventions, making it easy to integrate support without adding burden to school staff.
At NeuroRoots, collaboration is at the center of our work. We partner closely with families, educators, and related service providers to ensure students receive consistent, aligned support across environments. With parent consent, we communicate with school teams to better understand classroom expectations, current interventions, and priority goals.
Our coaching aligns with existing supports (including MTSS, 504 Plans, and IEP goals when applicable) and reinforces strategies students can use in real time. We focus on practical, actionable tools that translate directly to the classroom, home, and community settings, helping teams work together to support meaningful, sustainable progress.
NeuroRoots provides individualized transition planning to help students prepare for life beyond high school with confidence and clarity. We support middle school, high school, and young adult learners in building the executive functioning, self-advocacy, and independent living skills needed for postsecondary success.
Our transition supports focus on practical, student-centered goals such as career exploration, goal setting, time management, workplace readiness, and navigating college or training environments. We collaborate with families and school teams to align with transition plans and ensure students develop realistic, meaningful pathways toward employment, education, and independent adulthood.
