NeuroRoots Homeschool K-1 Grand Opening

 Little Explorers Community Learning Center

Kindergarten & 1st Grade | Opening August 2026

At NeuroRoots Little Explorers, we believe children learn best when they feel safe, connected, valued, and inspired to explore the world around them.

Little Explorers is a small-group Community Learning Center designed for Kindergarten and 1st Grade students who thrive in a nurturing, relationship-centered environment. Our program combines strong academic foundations with social-emotional learning, executive functioning development, life skills, creativity, and meaningful community experiences.

Through hands-on learning, project-based experiences, and individualized support, students are encouraged to become confident learners, problem-solvers, and compassionate community members.

Our Program Includes:

🌱 Research-based literacy and mathematics instruction

🌱 Executive functioning skill development

🌱 Social-emotional learning and friendship building

🌱 Project-based and hands-on learning experiences

🌱 Life skills and independence-building opportunities

🌱 Outdoor exploration and community connections

🌱 Neurodivergent-friendly learning environment

🌱 Small group instruction and personalized support

Our Philosophy

We recognize that every child develops at their own pace and brings unique strengths, interests, and learning styles to the classroom. Rather than focusing solely on academics, we nurture the whole child—academically, socially, emotionally, and personally.

Our goal is to help children develop a love of learning, confidence in themselves, and the skills needed to thrive both in school and in life.

Who We Serve

Little Explorers is designed for children entering Kindergarten or 1st Grade who would benefit from:

• Small-group learning

• Individualized attention

• A supportive and inclusive environment

• Hands-on, engaging instruction

• Opportunities to build friendships and social confidence

Teens! We offer Transition Support!

Transition & Leadership Academy

Ages 15–18

Monday, Wednesday, Friday | 11:00 AM – 2:00 PM

The NeuroRoots Transition & Leadership Academy is designed for neurodivergent teens who are preparing for adulthood through meaningful real-world experiences, leadership opportunities, and practical life skills.

This is not an academic program.

Students are expected to receive their academic instruction through homeschooling, online learning, private school, public school, or another educational setting. The Transition & Leadership Program serves as a supplemental enrichment and life skills program focused on preparing teens for life beyond high school.

A Unique Learning Experience

During portions of the day, Transition students will have opportunities to interact with younger microschool students through structured leadership activities. These experiences provide authentic opportunities to practice communication, responsibility, patience, teamwork, and problem-solving in a supportive environment.

Students are never expected to serve as staff members or childcare providers. Rather, these interactions are intentionally designed as learning experiences that support the development of leadership and workplace readiness skills.

Ideal for Homeschool and Alternative Education Families

Many teens successfully complete academic coursework but still need opportunities to develop the practical skills necessary for adulthood. The NeuroRoots Transition & Leadership Program fills that gap by providing a structured environment where students can practice real-world skills, build confidence, and gain meaningful experiences that prepare them for life after high school.

This program is an excellent fit for:

  • Homeschool students
  • ESA families
  • Online learners
  • Students pursuing alternative educational pathways
  • Teens who have met many of their academic goals but need additional support with independence, employment readiness, and social development

Program Goals

Our goal is to help students:

  • Build confidence and self-esteem
  • Develop greater independence
  • Strengthen executive functioning skills
  • Learn to advocate for themselves effectively
  • Gain leadership and volunteer experience
  • Prepare for future employment opportunities
  • Develop practical life skills for adulthood
  • Discover their strengths, interests, and future goals

At NeuroRoots, we believe that success after high school requires more than academics. Through hands-on experiences, leadership opportunities, and individualized support, students gain the skills, confidence, and independence needed to thrive in their next chapter.
